Teesside Junior Football Alliance

Welcome to the web-site of the Teesside Junior Football Alliance. A recent FA Charter Standard accredited League, it was formed in 1974 and is expanding year on year. The League is one of the biggest in the UK and Europe, with matches generally played on Sundays, beginning on the second weekend in September and ending in May.

The League currently caters for players between the ages of 7 years and 18 years who compete in clearly defined Under 8 to Under 18 age groups. The League are hopeful of hosting an additional Under 21 age group for season 2008/2009 and also of including independent girls divisions at both Under 12 and Under 14. The current number of competing Teams stands at 540. There are 54 Divisions!

The League

We are delighted to announce that this League has received a recent award and is now a recognised FA Charter Standard accredited League. All member Clubs have now attained, as a minimum, FA Charter Standard recognition. A tremendous effort by all members and Officials alike.

Nearly 9,000 players have now been Registered with the League and are able to participate. This is likely to increase to around 10,000 players before the end of March 2008 (the deadline for Registrations). We sincerely hope that all of the players and Team/Club Officials have a successful season. Above all it is about the participation and enjoyment of the youngsters, and spectators therefore should be mindful that this is all about the players, not themselves. May sportsmanship win the day! Good luck to all members as we continue on another epic journey thru' season 2007/2008!  

The next Meeting of all TJFA Clubs will be the Annual General Meeting and is to be held on Tuesday 10th. June 2008 at Middlesbrough FC, in the Legends Suite, Riverside Stadium. The meeting will start at 7:30pm.

Please note that all member TJFA Clubs must be represented at Meetings of this Alliance. A maximum attendance of two persons per Club is permissible.
