The League, although predominantly catering for junior Football Clubs within the Teesside area, extends it's boundaries to include Clubs from Durham and North Yorkshire. The League has to Affiliate to two County Football Associations (North Riding CFA and the Durham CFA). The League has gained a recent prestigious award and has now received recognition as an FA Charter Standard accredited League, which means that all competing Clubs are Charter Standard accredited as a minimum.
In addition to the normal League fixtures the League also runs two additional Cup Competitions, excluding the Under 8 age group by order of The Football Association who deem that Under 8 age groups may NOT participate in "knock-out Cup Competitions", (the TJFA League Cup and the TJFA Challenge Cup). Generally these "knockout" Cup Competitions are contested on the first Sunday of each month throughout the playing season. We are delighted to announce once again this season that all Finals of both prestigious competitions will be played at Middlesbrough FC Training Headquarters, Rockliffe Park, Hurworth, Near Darlington in May 2008. Hopefully twenty-two Cup Finals will again be played at one location in ONE DAY!
All of the 90 or so Clubs, comprising 540 Teams, have attained Charter Standard, Community Club or Development Club status and these meritous accolades are fully supported by the League's Management Committee who believe that these Clubs are catering effectively for the youth of today. Please note that this League will only accept, as a minimum, Charter Standard Clubs from 2007/2008 onwards.
