About TJFA

Welcome to the web-site of the Teesside Junior Football Alliance. A League which accepts only Charter Standard accredited Clubs, it was formed in 1974 and is expanding year on year. The League is one of the biggest in the UK and Europe, with matches generally played on Sundays, beginning the second weekend in September (11th. 2016) and ending in May (7th. 2017).

We have had seven successive seasons with a regular slot on BBC Tees on a Thursday evening. A brief report of certain matches played and a look ahead to forthcoming fixtures are mentioned. Hopefully one or two players will gain a mention in the weekly reports. The Sports programme will recommence for season 2016/2017 in September and the start time for the TJFA slot would be around 6:50pm.

Those reports are contained on the TJFA website from the Home page (TJFA @ BBC Tees).

The TJFA caters for players between the ages of 6 years and 18 years who compete in clearly defined Under 7 to Under 11 (classified as Development age groups) to Under 17 (Combination) age groups. The current number of competing Teams stands at 716. There are 67 Divisions!
